Pastoral Assistant for Preschool & Elementary Faith Formation:

St. John the Baptist Parish seeks a Pastoral Assistant for Preschool & Elementary Faith Formation for our PS-4th grade programs.  This is a 15 hour a week position, mostly on Sundays, but includes some evenings.  This position also includes Sacramental Preparation with the children for First Eucharist and First Reconciliation, along with Vacation Bible School.   We are looking for someone who has a background in education, with experience as a leader in Faith Formation.  The successful candidate has great people skills, is creative, and has strong management abilities.

Now Hiring: Pastoral Assistant for Youth Ministry

St. John the Baptist Parish (Covington, WA), a dynamic community living its faith though the model of stewardship where all are called to ministry by their baptism, seeks an engaged and vibrant individual to serve as Pastoral Assistant for Youth Ministry (5th-12th).  This is a full time/40 hours per week position.  Parish staff members need to be skilled in facilitating and fostering a sense of mutual ministry with and among all members of the parish community.

The successful candidate will be an active member of a Catholic parish; have at least two years (four preferred) experience in Youth Ministry and Retreat work; a B.A. degree or equivalent in related field (open to work toward a Masters in ministry); demonstrate ability to recruit, form, and maintain active teams of volunteers; be proficient in communication with many different mediums; have the capacity for strategic planning and initiatives; and have exceptional interpersonal skills.

This job requires strong abilities to build healthy relationships, seeking to meet our young people where they are, spiritually, psychologically and physically. We want someone who can lead youth to a deeper spiritual understanding of themselves and the world we live in, and someone who draws people together in community.

St. John the Baptist Parish, Covington Washington, a vibrant, stewardship based faith community of 1,200 families in the Archdiocese of Seattle seeks an individual to serve as Pastoral Assistant for Liturgy & Pastoral Care (full time/40 hours per week). Parish staff members need to be skilled in facilitating and fostering a sense of mutual ministry with and among all members of the parish community.

The successful candidate will be an active member of a Catholic parish; have at least two years (four years preferred) demonstrated and relevant work experience, with a focus on liturgy; a Masters degree (or working towards one) in ministry or equivalent work experience; demonstrated ability to recruit and support parish disciples; willingness to work some evenings and some weekends.
